American crypto magnate found dismembered in Bulgaria
A 41-year-old crypto-millionaire Kristian Peev was found murdered in one of the apartments in Sofia, Bulgaria. He was dismembered and flushed down the toilet, according to Mirror.
Peev, who held American and Bulgarian citizenship, disappeared on August 8.
According to police, his acquaintance—a bartender named Vesko Valchinov—was involved in the killing.
Surveillance footage showed that they went together into the entrance where the suspect lived. The next day Valchinov left the apartment alone, but returned there several times.

Investigators believe Peev was killed by a dumbbell blow, after which he was dismembered. A certain Konstantin Subotnov helped Valchinov hide the body. When the latter was arrested, he admitted that he flushed part of the victim’s body down a toilet, and buried the head and some bones in the Vitosha National Park.
Valchinov’s whereabouts were established by phone tracking; he has been arrested.
Kristian Peev graduated from a university in the United States and amassed a fortune from cryptocurrency investments. He frequently attended social events and, it is believed, met his alleged killer there.
Subsequently, Peev helped run a similar business with Valchinov, so investigators do not rule out that the motive for the murder is money. The investigation continues.
In July, in the Argentine province of Ingeniero Budge, the crypto-millionaire and Instagram trader from Barcelona, Fernando Perez Algaba was found murdered.
