Animoca Brands and Brinc launch a US$30M fund focused on P2E games

Venture accelerator Brinc and NFT-game operator Animoca Brands announced the launch of the Guild Accelerator Program to support GameFi-guilds.

The fund will allocate up to $500,000 to each early-stage guild admitted into the program.

Mentors and experts will include:

  • Brendan Wong, founder of the Avocado guild;
  • Saruboti Sasuke, head of partnerships at YGG;
  • Howard Xu, co-founder of the Ancient8 guild.

The initiative aims to provide millions of people around the world with the opportunity to earn in P2E-games with the support of guilds. The fund will prioritise teams focused on sustainable development.

The Guild Accelerator Program is run as part of Launchpad Luna, launched by partners in mid-2021. Applications are open until 27 February, with the first participants to be selected in May.

In November 2021, the gaming blockchain company Avocado Guild announced that it had raised $18 million from QCP Soteria Node and Animoca Brands.

In December, Alameda Research and Animoca Brands supported the P2E gaming platform Rainmaker Games in a $6.5 million round.

Earlier, Animoca Brands and the Binance Smart Chain team announced the launch of a blockchain accelerator, aimed at GameFi startups.
