
Animoca Brands backs Brinc in a $30 million round
Hong Kong-based venture accelerator Brinc closed a Series B funding round of $30 million. It was led by NFT-games operator Animoca Brands.

In addition to participating in the round, the anchor investor will channel $100 million directly into Brinc-backed startups, acting as a venture fund.
The funds will be used to finance developer teams in the area of DeFi, NFT, Web 3.0 and blockchain games. Since its launch in 2014, Brinc has supported more than 200 startups.
The accelerator plans to expand into China, and to enter the markets of Japan, South Korea, Singapore and India. The company currently maintains offices in seven countries, including Brazil.
Earlier, Animoca Brands and the Binance Smart Chain team announced the launch of a blockchain incubator, focused on GameFi startups.
Earlier, the NFT-game operator attracted $65 million in October, with a valuation of $2.2 billion.
In the first nine months of 2021, the company generated revenue of $529.6 million buoyed by the success of its gaming platform The Sandbox and other projects.
