Startup Anthropic has begun integrating a voice mode into its AI-based chatbot Claude, enabling “full conversational interactions” within the mobile app.

The tool will be available in English across all subscription plans within a few weeks.
Users have already started testing voice interactions with Claude. It operates on the Claude Sonnet 4 model introduced in May.

“The feature allows you to talk to Claude and hear responses, making it easier to use Claude when your hands are busy, but your mind is not,” states the support page.
Several AI startups offer similar functionality, including OpenAI, Google, and xAI. When interacting with Claude, users can discuss documents and images, with a choice of five voices for the chatbot.
Users without a paid subscription face limitations, with access to about 20-30 conversations. Premium plan holders can connect to Google Workspace to view Gmail and calendars, while access to Google Docs is reserved for the Enterprise version.
In March, Anthropic closed a new funding round, securing $3.5 billion at a valuation of $61.5 billion.
Previously, the company introduced the hybrid model Claude 3.7 Sonnet.
