
Aptos integrates with LayerZero cross-chain protocol
The LayerZero team announced the integration of the cross-chain protocol with the Aptos platform, whose launch is expected by the end of 2022.

According to developers, this move will enhance security, improve user experience, and make next-generation applications accessible.

In March 2022, the startup Aptos Labs, founded by former Meta employees, raised $200 million in a funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz. The funding also came from Multicoin Capital, Coinbase Ventures, Katie Haun, Three Arrows Capital, ParaFi Capital, IRONGREY, Hashed, Variant, Tiger Global, BlockTower, FTX Ventures and Paxos.
In July, the startup closed a Series A funding round of $150 million. It was led by FTX Ventures and Jump Crypto.
In September, Binance’s venture arm announced strategic investments in Aptos Labs.
In March, the LayerZero team raised $135 million at a $1 billion valuation.
