The Arkham Intelligence analytics platform linked a cryptocurrency wallet, which has earned millions from the sale of NFT, to former U.S. President Donald Trump and began to track him.
Experts noted that the balance on this address is virtually identical to the Ethereum income Trump reported in his financial disclosure of August 14, 2023 — $2,806,341. The total value of the coins is estimated at between $1 million and $5 million.
The report also includes a note of $4.9 million in commissions from the deal with NFT INT LLC. It is the company that over the past year conducted two airdrops of tens of thousands of NFTs featuring Trump at a price of $99.
According to OpenSea, the trading volume of the first series amounted to more than $26 million.
At the same time, NFT INT LLC rejected any speculation that the project directly belonged to Trump. In a disclaimer, it stated that it holds a license from CIC Digital LLC to use the images of the politician.
According to CREW, in the latest filing Trump is listed as manager, president, secretary and treasurer. As reported earlier, it is CREW that owns the walletowns the wallet, into which the commissions from the licensing deal are paid.
Trump first commented on Bitcoin in July 2019, saying the asset’s value is highly volatile and largely unbacked.
Later, the former head of state noted that digital gold ‘looks like a scam’, and called investments in it ‘an expected disaster’.
