Art Blocks NFT collection sells out in an hour, earning its creator 1,623 ETH

Artist Monica Rizzolli earned 1,623 ETH (about $5.4 million at the time of the deal) from selling the NFT series “Fragments of an Infinite Field” on the Art Blocks marketplace. The Block reports.

Collection, consisting of 1024 generative images, was sold on September 13 in under an hour. The price for individual pieces started at 10 ETH.

The seasons served as the primary parameter for the composition, determining the colors and phenomena depicted in the painting.

Subsequently, some items from the collection were resold on OpenSea for 69 ETH (~$229,000). The cheapest lot on the secondary market is now listed at 13.4 ETH (~$44,500).

According to Etherscan, within a few hours after the sale, 1,623 ETH arrived in Monica Rizzolli’s wallet in three transactions.

Famed NFT collectors Cozomo de’ Medici and JDH spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on individual works.

Earlier in August, Art Blocks announced the record sale of NFT Fidenza #313 from the Generative Images collection for 1000 ETH (over $3.3 million at the time of the sale).
