Beam team unveils roadmap for confidential DeFi platform

The developers updated the roadmap for Beam blockchain development and the launch of BeamX, the confidential DeFi infrastructure. ForkLog was provided with the information by the project team.

The cornerstone of further development was the third hard fork in the mainnet, which occurred on June 14, 2021 at block #1,280,000. The update made possible the use of smart contracts (Shaders). The wallet user interface was simplified by reducing address types, and confidential assets became accessible through the application.

In the third quarter, the developers plan to unveil a Metamask-style browser wallet. In the future, the following is planned:

As part of preparations for the launch of BeamX, the project will shift to a decentralized governance system in the form of a decentralized autonomous organization — DAO Core, and will also create a marketplace of dapps.

In the fourth quarter or later, the Beam team plans to launch:

The project also intends to establish partnerships to implement automated market maker (AMM) and lending mechanisms.

\n\n

The continued development of the BeamX platform will be fostered by a grants system for dapp developers, with funding allocated according to the results of voting by the DAO Core community.

Earlier, the Beam team raised $2 million to develop the BeamX platform.
