
Beltelecom employees accused of selling personal data of security forces for cryptocurrency
In Belarus, two employees of the state telecommunications company Beltelecom will be tried for transferring personal data of third parties to administrators of extremist Telegram channels. сообщает Investigative Committee.
According to investigators, a 24-year-old sales specialist and a 35-year-old electrical engineer sold the personal data of more than 150 people, including heads and employees of various law enforcement agencies, judges, journalists, education and healthcare workers, and public figures.
One of the accused, according to the agency, received about $300 in cryptocurrency for disclosing the data.

During the investigation, law enforcement authorities seized equipment and mobile phones.
The defendants face charges under eight criminal articles.
The case materials have been handed to the court. The accused are in custody.
