Bentley to release limited NFT collection

The luxury carmaker Bentley announced a September 2022 drop of Genesis Bentley NFTs limited in quantity.

The NFT collection will be designed by Bentley Design.

A total of 208 tokens will be released. The number is not accidental — it mirrors the speed limit of the Continental GT Speed, and the number of the iconic 1952 R-Type Continental.

The token drop will take place on the Polygon network. The decision reflects the company’s commitment to achieving full carbon neutrality by 2030. Genesis Bentley NFT owners will receive exclusive rewards.

“Bentley clients also live online — they buy luxury goods with digital currency and build businesses in the Metaverse. … NFTs have enhanced the prestige of art as well as artists. The same could happen in the premium automobile sector,” — said by board member Alen Feyvi.

In the future, Bentley will explore other use cases, including NFC, online gaming, metaverse applications, and the use of blockchain technology across the organisation.
