BestChange Cryptocurrency Aggregator Blocked in Russia

BestChange Cryptocurrency Aggregator Blocked in Russia

Roskomnadzor has restricted access to the website of the cryptocurrency exchange aggregator BestChange.ru within Russia. The service team reported this development.

According to them, the aggregator continues to operate. Users have access to an official mirror and extensions for popular browsers.

“The extension provides access to the main monitoring tools: it makes it easy to choose the exchange direction, get offers, and find a suitable exchange point,” explained BestChange.

Update:

In a comment to ForkLog, service representatives stated that they had not received any notifications or warnings — the blocking occurred suddenly.

“Based on the team’s experience, if everything follows the standard scenario, the unblocking could take about a week. The process has already started, but we cannot even get information from the agency about the reasons for the incident, so everything is hindered by bureaucracy,” they added.

Previously, the BestChange exchange aggregator has been repeatedly blocked by Roskomnadzor for disseminating prohibited information about the possibility of buying bitcoin and paying for certain goods with it. Court hearings were held in the absence of the defendant.

In December 2020, BestChange was removed from Russia’s list of banned websites.

On October 21, 2022, the service was removed from the list of banned resources in Uzbekistan.
