The legendary billionaire investor and founder of Miller Value Partners, Bill Miller, told WEALTHTRACK in an interview that he has invested 50% of his personal savings in Bitcoin and altcoins.
According to him, he bought a significant portion of digital gold around $30,000. He bought his first Bitcoin at $200 and has since periodically added to his holdings.
Miller described the first cryptocurrency as a unique economic unit, whose supply is not dependent on demand.
On Monday, January 10, Bitcoin traded below $41,000. The asset’s market cap stands at $774 billion, according to CoinGecko.
In August 2021, Miller’s disclosed a position of $44.7 million in the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust.
In October, the billionaire called Bitcoin digital gold and compared his bet on it with buying Amazon stock during the dot-com bubble crash. He also doubted the prospects of most altcoins.
