The Bitcoin exchange Binance, in cooperation with Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation, is working on enabling cryptocurrency payments for government services. ForkLog UA reports.
According to the exchange’s Ukraine general manager, Kirill Khomyakov, one of the discussed directions is the integration of the Binance Pay service into the Diia app. The Ministry of Digital Transformation confirmed this information.
At the same time, the parties continue to develop the IT Generation program and other educational projects on Web3, blockchain and cryptocurrencies.
“IT Generation proved to be a very necessary and popular project. 2,200 people who were involuntarily laid off were able to obtain new education, and ten IT schools integrated Binance Pay,” Khomyakov said.
In late September, Binance added the ability verification via «Diia».
Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, the exchange has allocated more than $3.3 million to Ukrainian refugees and temporarily displaced persons.
