Binance NFT and WePlay Esports to release exclusive NFT collection

The non-fungible token (NFT) platform Binance NFT, together with esports media holding WePlay Esports, announced the release of the NFT collection Storyline from WePlay Collectibles. ForkLog learned this from the marketplace’s press service.

Tokens will be put up for auction as part of the “100 creators” campaign, timed to the launch of Binance NFT on June 24.

In the NFT collection Storyline, there will be three types of tokens:

The “Logo” and “Trophy” tokens will be available in different versions depending on rarity: Common, Rare and Ultimate.

“We view NFT as the most modern high-tech means for uniting the esports community, which will help elevate interaction among its participants to a new level and give it unique value,” said Yura Lazebnikov, managing partner of WePlay Esports.

According to him, with WePlay Collectibles fans will be able to get closer to their favourite players and obtain unique esports souvenirs, “in which memories of the tournaments are captured.”

“In recent years, esports has transformed from a small niche into a true industry with a multi-million-strong audience worldwide,” said Helen Hai, head of Binance NFT.

She believes the non-fungible token platform will be a useful and transformative innovation for the esports industry.

Earlier, Binance announced an NFT project by Russian designers and artists on its own marketplace. One of them will be Misha Most.

FC Dynamo Kyiv will launch regular sales of non-fungible tokens as tickets to matches on the Binance marketplace. The platform is also used by Bayern Munich footballer Alphonso Davies for the release of NFT collection.

Among other creators on Binance NFT are Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi, South African composer and conductor Trevor Jones, the esports team eStarPro and professional footballer Michael Owen.
