The charitable foundation Blockchain Charity Foundation (BCF), established by Binance, continues to collect donations for the purchase of personal protective equipment against the coronavirus. At present, more than $4 million has been raised in cryptocurrency.
On 13 October, representatives of BCF handed over to Krasnodar’s Clinical Emergency Hospital nearly 25,000 protective masks.
The organization has already provided assistance to 20 countries and procured more than 450 million units of personal protective equipment for medical facilities.
“The community has come together in the fight against the global crisis. Now that the number of infections is worsening, we consider it our duty to assist medical workers in the fight for people’s lives,” said Gleb Kostarev, Director of Binance in Russia and the CIS.
Back in October 2018, Binance Charity collected donations for those affected by floods and landslides in eastern Uganda.
