Binance signs memorandum of understanding with Kazakh authorities

The Binance exchange signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan, according to company representatives.

The document was signed during Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao’s visit to Kazakhstan, where he met with local authorities, including President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Bagdat Musin.

Under the agreement, Binance is expected to advise the country on cryptocurrency regulation. The Ministry of Digital Development and the exchange will also work on a solution \”to integrate the banking infrastructure into the cryptocurrency market\”.

In addition, Binance and the ministry agreed on jointly supporting Astana Hub. According to Musin, the parties discussed the potential creation of a blockchain-focused venture fund and academy, \”to help local talents from Astana Hub reach a global stage\”.

At the Astana International Financial Centre, a pilot project for creating and developing cryptocurrency exchanges is planned.
