Binance.US CEO predicts Bitcoin at $100,000 by year-end
The rise in the price of Bitcoin over the past few months has shown that the leading cryptocurrency could rise to $100,000 per coin, according to Catherine Coley, head of Binance.US.
In an interview with the KLTA channel, she noted that the current Bitcoin rally is tied to institutional investors entering the space.
In Catherine Coley’s view, this rally could be “accelerated” compared with what happened after the second halving. Back then the price rally began more than a year after the block reward was cut in July 2016.
The third Bitcoin halving occurred on May 11, 2020.
“While we considered a fair price of $50,000, that figure will certainly be somewhat higher. I think that by the end of 2021 we will reach $75,000–$100,000 per Bitcoin,” — says Binance.US CEO.
More audacious price forecasts for the leading cryptocurrency were made by Insider cofounder Henry Blodget and Kraken CEO Jesse Powell — both called $1 million per coin. However, the former believes this will happen due to speculation, while the latter relies on growth in institutional investment in cryptocurrency.
As Binance CEO Changpeng “CZ” Zhao noted, the number of corporate clients of the exchange grew by 46%.
