Bit Digital joins Foundry USA pool with 5,679 Bitcoin miners

Nasdaq-listed Bit Digital announced its joining of the Foundry USA mining pool operated by DCG’s subsidiary Barry Silbert.

According to the press release, Bit Digital is now mining Bitcoin in Foundry USA with approximately 5,679 mining rigs, generating a hash rate of about 0.28 EH/s.

Regarding the launch of the pool for institutions, Foundry Digital announced in March 2021. Its first client was Blockcap with a fleet of roughly 10,000 miners.

“With the addition of Bit Digital, Foundry USA has moved one step closer to the ultimate goal — securing a permanent place among the world’s five largest Bitcoin mining pools,” the statement said.

According to BTC.com, Foundry USA ranks 10th by total computing power, with a 3.4% share of the hash rate. In fifth place is BTC.com itself — 8%.
