
BIT Mining Limited to Deploy 2,500 Bitcoin Miners to Kazakhstan
BIT Mining Limited has announced an agreement to purchase 2,500 Bitcoin miners for $6.6 million. The company told ForkLog in a press release.
The devices will add 165 PH/s to its capacity. The acquired miners will be sent to Kazakhstan.
BIT Mining Limited also reported progress expanding its business beyond China.
According to the press release, 3,819 Bitcoin miners with a total capacity of 172 PH/s are already operating in data centres in Kazakhstan, with a further 4,033 mining devices with 121 PH/s capacity delivered to data centres in Kazakhstan and awaiting commissioning.
BIT Mining Limited also began Ethereum mining outside the Chinese mainland with a hashrate of more than 86 GH/s.
Earlier, BIT Mining Limited, formerly 500.com, bought the BTC.com mining pool.
In May, it emerged that the company invested in a data centre for cryptocurrency mining in Kazakhstan. In June BIT Mining Limited announced a successful delivery of the first batch of equipment for mining in the country.
