Sunday morning, December 27, the price of the first cryptocurrency continued to rise and hit a new all-time high of $27,500.
Update: at 11:05 UTC Bitcoin surpassed a new all-time high of $28,000.
The day before, Bitcoin broke through the mark of $26,500, and by 06:00 UTC quotes had topped $27,000, briefly rising to $27,610.
The gain over the last 24 hours was 10.4%, over the week — 14.4%.

The market’s total capitalization at the time of writing stood at $733 billion, of which $508 billion (69.1%) was Bitcoin.
Among the top ten by market capitalization, XRP and Chainlink showed negative momentum — Ripple’s token price over the past week fell by almost 50% ($0.297 at the time of publication), LINK — in the same period — fell to $11.25 (-16.7%).
The second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, Ethereum, was trading around $650.
