
Bitcoin mining difficulty hits a new high
As a result of another adjustment the mining difficulty of the first cryptocurrency rose by 7%. The metric reached a new high at 72.01 T.

The average hash rate over the period since the previous adjustment stood at 512.55 EH/s. The interval between blocks was under 9.5 minutes.
According to Glassnode, on December 22 the smoothed seven-day moving average stood at 521 EH/s. As of writing, it stands at 533 EH/s.
