
Bitcoin Mining Difficulty Reaches New Peak
Following the latest recalibration, the difficulty of mining the leading cryptocurrency has risen by 1.6%, setting a new high at 73.2 T.

The average hash rate since the previous adjustment was 524.18 EH/s, with the interval between blocks being less than 10 minutes.
According to Glassnode, on January 5, the smoothed 7-day moving average reached 537 EH/s. At the time of writing, it stands at 545 EH/s.

According to Hashrate Index, the hashprice is $84.6 per PH.

Over the past year, bitcoin miners’ revenue from fees has surged by 400%, with the average daily intake exceeding $2 million.
In December, the mining infrastructure firm Akron Energy secured $110 million to expand its data center capacities, primarily for mining the leading cryptocurrency.
