
Bitcoin price hits new high near $26,000
In the evening on Saturday, December 26, the price of the first cryptocurrency hit a new all-time high, coming close to the $26,000 mark.
On Bitstamp, Bitcoin peaked at $25,985.9.

CoinGecko’s analytical service at 6:38 (MSK) recorded the volume-weighted average price across trading platforms at $24,999.99.

At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading around $25,800.
The $24,000 level was breached by “digital gold” exactly one week ago — on Saturday, December 19.

Bloomberg Intelligence senior commodity market analyst Mike McGlone said in early June that Bitcoin could rise to $28 000 this year, citing technical and fundamental factors.
Earlier, Guggenheim Partners’ investment chief Scott Minerd said that the price of the first cryptocurrency could rise to $400 000.
