Bitfinex to offer Cardano staking

The cryptocurrency exchange Bitfinex has announced the addition of Cardano (ADA) staking, according to AMB Crypto citing a press release.

On Bitfinex’s staking platform, ADA will become the seventh asset supported.

Previously, exchange clients began earning passive income in EOS, Algorand (ALGO), Tezos (XTZ), Cosmos (ATOM), Tron (TRX) and V Systems (VSYS).

By staking ADA on the service, holders will be eligible for yields of up to 4.3% per year. Rewards will be paid weekly, but not less than $0.10-$0.20 in native Cardano tokens.

What is Cardano (ADA)?

The cryptocurrency will be stored on Bitfinex’s platform using the exchange’s internal custodial solution.

The Bitfinex passive-earnings program launched in April.

In September, Bitfinex opened trading of stock-index derivatives paired with the USDT stablecoin.

Also, Bitfinex added support for Wumbo payment channels on the Lightning Network for deposits and withdrawals in Bitcoin.
