Bitget Appoints New CEO and Hires Former CommEX Executive
Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget has announced a series of new appointments. As of May, Gracy Chen has taken on the role of CEO of the trading platform.
Former CEO Sandra Lou will leave the company to pursue her own business goals.
Chen holds a bachelor’s degree from the National University of Singapore and an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She brings a decade of experience in business management, marketing, and investments.
In June 2022, Chen joined Bitget as Managing Director and Head of Growth Strategy. Under her leadership, the exchange’s user base quadrupled and its partnership network significantly expanded.
“Bitget ranks among the top five platforms for futures trading and the top ten for spot trading. I am very pleased to continue contributing to shaping this industry, which is at the forefront of innovation and ensures the future of digital finance,” commented Gracy Chen.
Anton Toroptsev, former regional director of the now-defunct CommEX exchange, will take on the role of Head of Marketing for Bitget in the CIS. He will focus on developing local business and building relationships with key opinion leaders, regulators, and partners.
Following his appointment, Toroptsev has already conducted a comprehensive audit of Bitget’s marketing activities in the region. His primary goal as the new head of Bitget’s CIS division is to position the cryptocurrency exchange among the top three crypto companies.
“We have everything needed to achieve this goal: a loyal audience, a strong team, and a bullish trend. Additionally, the reshuffling of forces and players in the market supports the achievement of this goal,” he stated.
