Bitget Introduces Blockchain4Her Ambassador Program
Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget has announced the launch of the Blockchain4Her (B4H) Ambassador program, enabling women to serve as ambassadors and catalysts for change in the crypto industry.
According to a recent study by Bitget, blockchain startups led by women receive only 6% of total funding. In response, the platform has launched the Blockchain4Her program to enhance gender diversity in the blockchain sector.
On March 8, 2024, as part of this initiative, the B4H Ambassador project was launched, where women leaders will mentor and share leadership experiences with the next generation.
At the time of publication, participants in the program included Tess Hau, founder of Tess Ventures, Cecilia Xueh, CEO of Morph, and Evgenia Broshevan, co-founder of Hacken.
“We dream of the widespread adoption of Web3, but it is important to understand that achieving this goal is impossible without ensuring equal opportunities and openness for all. I am honoured to support initiatives aimed at eliminating these disparities, as I believe such projects contribute to a world free from barriers and judgments,” commented Evgenia Broshevan on her participation in the program.
The B4H Ambassador includes four key initiatives: role modelling, networking, engagement, and targeted support.
“Women are underrepresented in almost all sectors of the global economy. We, for our part, intend to facilitate their involvement in the blockchain industry,” commented Gracy Chen, Managing Director of Bitget, on the launch of the B4H Ambassador.
Bitget is a crypto exchange serving over 25 million users in more than 100 countries and regions. The platform offers spot and futures trading, a multi-chain wallet, and an NFT marketplace.
Blockchain4Her builds on the success of Bitget’s Blockchain4Youth program, which focuses on educating young people about blockchain technology.
