The cryptocurrency exchange Bitget has announced registration in the Seychelles as part of its global expansion. According to the пресс-релизу, the exchange operates without a headquarters, with regional hubs in strategically important markets.
The company plans to create more regional hubs and increase its headcount by 50%. Management expects Bitget to employ 1,200 people by the first quarter of 2023. The cryptocurrency exchange is currently hiring developers as well as product and marketing specialists.
According to Bitget managing director Gracie Chen, registration in Seychelles is one of the first steps toward establishing the platform’s regional hubs in Asia and Latin America:
The Seychelles are a crypto-friendly region. We have been working on obtaining this registration for several months. It will strengthen relations with banks, as well as expand cooperation with partners — Ju Juventus FC and Argentina’s footballing star Lionel Messi.
In addition, the company intends to strengthen its presence in Europe and Africa.
Bitget — a cryptocurrency exchange for spot and futures trading that supports OTC- and P2P-trades, and provides access to copy trading. The platform serves more than two million users in 50 countries worldwide.
Earlier in November, Bitget opened the ‘Strategy Market’ section, which allows users to copy other traders’ trading strategies and share their own.
