Bitget’s Gracy Chen to Address UN Commission on the Status of Women

From March 11 to 22, the 68th annual session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women will take place, featuring a speech by Gracy Chen, director of the cryptocurrency exchange Bitget. She will discuss advancing gender equality in the Web3 sphere.

“The Blockchain4Her initiative aims to ensure equal opportunities, empower women, and provide them with leadership positions. Participation in the annual UN meeting will allow us to refine our strategies and align our goals with organizations worldwide, enabling us to more effectively achieve meaningful changes in gender equality and diversity,” noted Gracy Chen.

According to a study by Bitget, female startup leaders receive only 6% of total funding. In January 2024, Bitget launched the Blockchain4Her initiative with a budget of $10 million to enhance gender diversity in the blockchain industry.

Bitget is a cryptocurrency exchange serving over 2 million users in 100 countries. The platform has been operating since 2018, offering services in spot and futures trading, as well as margin lending.

On March 8, Bitget launched the Blockchain4Her (B4H) Ambassador program, allowing women to act as ambassadors and catalysts for change in the crypto industry.
