
BitKeep wallet users lose about $8 million in hack
Unknown attackers breached the BitKeep cryptocurrency wallet and stole users’ assets worth about $8 million, PeckShield researchers said.

Losses include approximately 4,373 BNB, 5.4 million USDT, 196,000 DAI and 1,233.21 ETH. CertiK experts noted that the attack is ongoing and that hackers are transferring funds to multiple addresses.

It was reported by the BitKeep team that some APK package downloads have been hijacked and installed with code implanted by hackers.

Representatives of the BitKeep team said that the official Android app was hacked. According to them, the attackers injected malware into the downloaded APK file of the wallet.
In October, the project was hit by a Swap service attack; user losses were around $1 million.
