Bitkraft Ventures launches a $75m fund focused on blockchain games.

Berlin-based Bitkraft Ventures has raised $75m for a fund that will invest in blockchain-game-related startups and digital entertainment. Venture Beat reports.

Funding will be available to companies at any stage of development, whether through equity or token sales.

In June, Bitkraft Ventures registered with the SEC as an investment adviser. Bitkraft Token Fund I will be led by Piers Kicks.

The fund has previously invested in six projects, including Yield Guild Games, Immutable, Alethea AI and Horizon Games. According to Bitkraft Ventures partner Jens Hilgers, by the end of 2022 Bitkraft Token Fund I will provide financing to another 25 startups, including those operating on the Solana network.

As of 1 October AUM Bitkraft Ventures stood at $540m, with a portfolio of more than 60 startups across North America, Europe and Asia.

Earlier, Huobi Group launched a $10m fund for investments in GameFi-projects.

In October, the developers of the NFT game Axie Infinity raised $152m from a16z and Paradigm. The startup’s valuation reached $3bn.
