Bitwise CIO Predicts Record Inflows into Bitcoin ETFs
Major US brokers Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo, and UBS are expected to offer bitcoin ETFs to all client categories by the end of 2025, according to Bitwise’s Chief Investment Officer Matt Hougan. He believes this move will drive unprecedented inflows into BTC ETFs, despite a weaker performance compared to the same period last year.
Together, these four giants manage approximately $10 trillion in American investors’ assets. The expert suggests that their involvement will be a key driver of record inflows into BTC ETFs.
“This is one of the reasons why I still expect bitcoin ETFs to set a new record for net inflows this year,” noted Hougan.
His conclusions were influenced by his participation in a national conference for brokers, where he was invited to speak at the closing of the first day. In his view, this fact alone indicates a rapidly changing paradigm.
At the time of writing, the total net inflow into US spot bitcoin ETFs stands at $39.14 billion.
Net inflows over the past seven days amount to approximately $708 million.
Experts at Bernstein believe that institutional purchases are one of the five key factors driving the continued growth of the leading cryptocurrency. Another factor is the investment by asset managers and brokers in blockchain infrastructure.
