Blockcap to open Texas headquarters

The American mining company Blockcap announced plans to open a headquarters in the state of Texas and to expand its fleet to 42,000 devices for mining Bitcoin.

Blockcap currently generates more than six bitcoins per day, using about 10,000 miners, according to the press release. The current hash rate is estimated at 0.95 EH/s.

Representatives said that once all equipment is deployed, the hash rate would rise to 3.5 EH/s.

Earlier Blockcap attracted $75 million from Foundry Digital and Off The Chain Capital to expand its Bitcoin mining fleet.

In March 2021, the American company agreed to supply 8,400 devices from Canaan. Prior to that, it purchased 10,000 miners Antminer S19 from Bitmain.

Blockcap became a client of the Foundry Digital mining pool, a subsidiary of Barry Silbert’s Digital Currency Group.
