Blockchain.com launches debit card with crypto cashback

Blockchain.com has launched a Visa debit card with 1% cashback in cryptocurrency.

The new product is available to US residents.

The card enables users to pay for goods and services using either crypto or fiat balances. Each purchase earns cashback. There are no annual fees or other charges for using the card.

Company representatives pledged to roll out the product in other countries in 2023.

“We are excited to collaborate with leading wallets and exchanges like Blockchain.com to unlock more ways for consumers to use their crypto assets for everyday purchases,” said Visa’s cryptocurrency chief Ky Sheffield.

Earlier, the cryptocurrency platform Gemini announced the launch of a similar product in partnership with Mastercard.

In October 2022, the FTX exchange reported on the phased rollout of the Visa debit card in more than 40 countries.
