
Blockdaemon raises $207 million at a $3.25 billion valuation
Blockdaemon closed its Series C financing round at $207 million. The blockchain company’s valuation reached $3.25 billion.

The round was led by Sapphire Ventures and Tiger Global. SoftBank via Vision Fund 2, Boldstart Ventures, StepStone Group, Matrix Capital Management, Lerer Hippeau, Kenetic and Galaxy Digital also participated.
According to the press release, the company will create a fund “to reinvest earned assets into institutional-grade DeFi offerings”.
Blockdaemon noted that in 2021 it hired 150 new employees, and entered the markets of Singapore and Germany. Among acquisitions were the Lunie and Anyblock Analytics platforms.
In June 2021, Blockdaemon raised $28 million from Greenspring Associates, Goldman Sachs, BlockFi and other investors.
Earlier in September, SoftBank backed the blockchain company in a funding round of $155 million.
