Yuga Labs did not specify what Otherside is, but they announced a release window — April 2022.
The video features characters from the BAYC and MAYC collections, as well as CryptoPunks and Meebits. Yuga Labs acquired the rights to the latter a week ago.
On March 16, the team announced the launch of a game-focused metaverse, MetaRPG, to expand the project. Animoca Brands — the owner of the popular virtual world The Sandbox — will participate at launch.
On March 17, Yuga Labs launched ApeCoin trading, which will become the main asset not only for the NFT project’s ecosystem but also for the company’s future products. Among BAYC, MAYC, and BAKC NFT holders, 150 million APE were distributed.
According to the NFT marketplace OpenSea, in the last seven days the trading volume of BAYC tokens jumped by 375%. For MAYC and BAKC the increases were 314% and 861%, respectively.
Earlier, Dogecoin co-founder Billy Markus said that ApeCoin harms the NFT segment.
