Britain’s Clear Junction ends cooperation with Binance

The British payments system Clear Junction has refused to process payments linked to Binance, according to the company’s website.

“Clear Junction operates in full compliance with the rules and guidance of the FCA regarding Binance payment processing,” the statement said.

At the end of June, the regulator banned Binance Markets Limited from any regulated activity in the country without prior written approval. The exchange said the specified entity did not provide services on the binance.com domain.

After this, the British Barclays barred customers from transferring funds to Binance.

The local Santander branch informed customers that it would block payments to the cryptocurrency exchange from their accounts.

Since July 7, Binance paused accepting euro deposits via the payments system SEPA.

Earlier, Binance’s operations began on the Cayman Islands, in Thailand was accused of operating without a license, and in Japan another warning was issued. The Polish regulator urged caution in using the platform.

Binance chief Changpeng Zhao outlined in an open letter the company’s plans to ensure regulatory compliance and protect customers.
