Bybit to Shut Down Its NFT Marketplace

Bybit exchange announced the closure of its NFT marketplace. The platform will cease operations on April 8.

Users are advised to withdraw their assets by this date.

The exchange is also closing the Inscription Marketplace and IDO platforms. The decision is part of the company’s service optimization efforts.

NFT trading volume has decreased by 90% from its peak in 2021.

On February 21, Bybit suffered a hacking attack amounting to ~$1.46 billion. According to a statement from the FBI, the breach was orchestrated by perpetrators from the North Korean Lazarus Group.

Earlier, on March 31, the NFT trading platform X2Y2 announced its complete shutdown.
