Cathie Wood Predicts Bitcoin to Reach $650,000

By 2030, the leading cryptocurrency is expected to hit $650,000 in a base scenario and range from $1 million to $1.5 million in a bullish one. This forecast was shared by ARK Invest CEO Cathie Wood in an interview with CNBC.

“We are getting regulatory relief. I think this is one of the most important things from this [U.S. presidential] administration. We will get regulatory relief across all kinds of innovations,” she explained.

According to Wood, Bitcoin is currently attracting the attention of institutional investors and asset managers as a new asset class.

“Not just a global monetary system, but a new asset class. This means that institutional investors and asset managers are noticing that this asset behaves differently compared to their other assets. I think this is the next big step,” added the ARK Invest CEO.

Looking at the chart of digital gold, the coin typically rose after halvings and a decrease in inflation, she noted.

In January, Wood predicted the leading cryptocurrency could reach $1.5 million in a bullish scenario by 2030. She made this statement on the first day of trading spot Bitcoin ETFs, approved by the SEC.

In the same month, the ARK Invest CEO revealed that she holds approximately 25% of her financial capital in digital gold. She noted that her portfolio is “almost entirely tied to innovations,” including cryptocurrencies.

In May, Wood predicted a tenfold GDP growth for El Salvador over five years of Nayib Bukele’s new presidency. She noted that this would be facilitated by accelerating economic reforms in the country through Bitcoin and artificial intelligence.

Back in November, after Donald Trump was elected U.S. President, the ARK Invest CEO predicted an influx of investments in cryptocurrencies and new technologies following the “changing of the guard” at the SEC and FTC.
