Chainlink chief predicts mass institutional influx into the DeFi sector in 2022
In 2022, the decentralized finance (DeFi) space will continue to grow, driven by the entry of traditional banks. This was stated by Sergey Nazarov, co-founder of the cryptocurrency project Chainlink, reports Decrypt.
The expert predicted a broadened range of on-chain collateral types, which would lay the groundwork for new decentralized insurance products.
“In 2022, the world will realise that there is a large market called DeFi. If PayPal started dealing with cryptocurrencies, then consider why your users might not want to engage with custody, DeFi and so on tomorrow?”, he said.
According to the expert, regulatory obstacles remain for the industry. Due to the rapid growth of the decentralized finance sector, has taken notice SEC.
Anton Bukov, co-founder of the DeFi project 1inch Network, agrees with Nazarov.
In an interview with Cointelegraph, he predicted the continuation of rapid growth of the industry over the next three to five years. In his view, for this to happen, DEX would need to run 100 times faster than today, and users would be able to learn the underlying concept more quickly and easily.
Bukov noted that 1inch expects the launch of ZKSync 2.0 based on Matter Labs’ zkRollup technology, but is ready to support major sidechains and Layer 2 solutions in which there are users, tokens, DEX and activity.
Напомним, в ноябре Matter Labs закрыл раунд финансирования Серии B на $50 млн.
