Changpeng Zhao reveals Binance ecosystem metrics on fifth anniversary

In five years since its founding, Binance’s user base has grown to 120 million, and the company’s BNB Chain network, since 2020, has processed more than 2.4 billion transactions. said.

Binance began serving customers in July 2017. According to Zhao, the platform “has exceeded his wildest expectations”.

The head of the exchange noted that its staff has grown more than 200-fold, and more than 1,200 projects are now built on BNB Chain. He shared other ecosystem metrics:

• Binance has issued over 1.7 million crypto cards in the European region. Card payments volume exceeded $2 billion;
• through the Binance Pay payments system, about 17 million transactions were processed, totaling $12 billion;
• the number of weekly active users of the Binance NFT marketplace reached 600,000. The volume of operations within the IGO amounted to $1 billion;
• from January to June 2022, the number of active users of the Binance Earn service rose from 3.7 million to 4.9 million.

Zhao also said the company has raised more than 2.88 million BTC (about $52.24 billion) for charity. The beneficiaries of these programs numbered 1.8 million people.

The head noted that in the next five years the exchange will focus on creating and developing products that deliver tangible benefits to people. He added that the company will cooperate with regulators and assist other industry players.

As Zhao noted, Binance intends to help participants in the industry who are experiencing a slight liquidity shortage, and will lead negotiations with more than 50 companies.
