The Indian social network Chingari has launched the GARI Mining programme, under which it will annually reward users with an amount equivalent to $12 million. ForkLog was told by project representatives.

The daily GARI-token prize pool will total 50,000 coins, of which 5,000 will be distributed as a sign-in bonus. The remaining 45,000 GARI will be awarded for in-app actions, including uploading and sharing videos, views, likes and comments.

Income can be boosted with NFT badges. They come in five levels — Basic, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond — offering multipliers of x2, x3, x4, x5 and x10 respectively.

“GARI Mining will level the playing field for both major and modest authors. Users of the app will now be able to earn GARI tokens and not rely on brand partnerships as the sole source of income,” said Sumit Gosh, co-founder and chief executive of Chingari.

Launched in 2018, the Chingari social network, according to the developers, ranks among the world’s 20 most-downloaded apps, with a user base exceeding 130 million.

Earlier in April, the UFC announced it was prepared to pay Bitcoin bonuses to fighters who earned fan-voted prizes.
