Circle adds Solana support to EURC stablecoin

Circle adds support for the Solana blockchain for its euro-denominated stablecoin EURC.

“Developers can rely on EURC and USDC on Solana in delivering new applications for currency exchanges, payments, cross-border money transfers and financial services,” the statement said.

The firm noted that popular DeFi platforms and wallets in the network’s ecosystem, such as Jupiter Exchange, Meteora, Orca and Phoenix, are ready to support the stablecoin.

Companies can access EURC on Solana through Circle Mint, its enterprise solution, and its API.

The coin is already operating on the Avalanche, Ethereum and Stellar blockchains.

Earlier in July, Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire spoke of launch a stablecoin in Japan.
