CME to Potentially Launch XRP and SOL Futures
Trading of XRP and SOL futures on the CME is set to commence on February 10, pending regulatory approval. This information surfaced on a subdomain of the platform.
Assuming “beta.cmegroup” is actually a beta/test version of the actual CMEGroup website — looks like CME is expecting to launch SOL & XRP futures on Feb 10. But this isn’t available on the actual website yet.
Honestly makes sense and largely to be expected if true IMO https://t.co/lfMGd8X9KE

“Assuming beta.cmegroup is a beta/test version of the CME Group website, it seems CME will launch SOL and XRP futures on February 10. […]. In my opinion, this is quite logical and expected if true,” commented Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart.
According to the notice, monthly settlement contracts will be available in both standard and micro formats. This will allow for “scaling risks and providing greater precision and flexibility in their management.”
A CME representative told Fox Business that the beta version of the website was made publicly accessible “by mistake.”
A CME Group spokesperson clarified to Fox Business: the beta version of the website, which is often used for mock up drafts, was made public in error. No official decisions have yet been made about launching futures contracts for either token.

“No official decisions have been made about launching contracts for any of the [mentioned] tokens yet,” he added.
Seyffart’s colleague, Eric Balchunas, speculated that a Solana futures ETF could hit the market by mid-March.
Once again Stu from VolShares was ahead of the pack. We see a Solana futures ETF on market as early as mid-March. But.. knowing spot coming soon how much demand would there be. I guess we’ll find out. pic.twitter.com/eomAOG5xZX

From January 23-25, the deadline for the preliminary decision by the SEC on Solana-ETF applications from VanEck, 21Shares, Canary, Bitwise, and Grayscale will expire.
Previously, several experts expressed confidence in the product’s emergence by the end of 2025.
According to JPMorgan, inflows into potential spot exchange-traded funds based on SOL and XRP could surpass those of Ethereum instruments within six months of launch, reaching $3-6 billion.
