Coca-Cola released a series of non-fungible tokens titled ‘Masterpiece’ on Coinbase’s Base, the Ethereum Layer 2 network.
NFT-collection is based on the recent advertising campaign by the firm, which was partially created with the help of artificial intelligence.
The Coca-Cola tokens blend works by emerging artists with world masterpieces, including ‘The Scream’ by Edvard Munch and ‘Girl with a Pearl Earring’ by Johannes Vermeer.
Eight distinct NFT tokens are currently available, priced from 0.0011 ETH to 0.014 ETH, minted via the mint.fun platform. As of writing, about 50,000 assets have been issued.
The Coca-Cola initiative is part of Coinbase’s Onchain Summer program to mark the launch of the Base network. The project aims to propel the protocol towards music, art and gaming.
In addition, the platform has allocated grants for developers of decentralized applications within the new protocol and announced a hackathon with a prize pool of $125,000.
Back in 2021, Coca-Cola explored the NFT market, signing a collaboration with the marketplace Tafi to release a collection for the International Day of Friendship.
