
Coinbase and DCG Included in TIME’s 100 Most Influential Companies
The American magazine TIME has for the first time compiled a list of the 100 most influential companies. From the crypto industry, Coinbase and Digital Currency Group (DCG) were included for strengthening trust and popularising digital assets, respectively.

Coinbase was placed in the ‘Titans’ section, which also includes PayPal, Amazon, Google, Facebook, Disney, Alibaba, Microsoft, Samsung and others.
DCG was placed in the ‘Disruptors’ section alongside Tesla, SpaceX, Robinhood, Huawei, Clubhouse and others.
MasterCard was also included in the list for its pledge of direct support for cryptocurrencies in 2021.
In late 2019 TIME included Coinbase chief Brian Armstrong in the ‘Rising Stars’ list. In April 2021 the cryptocurrency exchange debuted on Nasdaq in the largest direct listing in history.
In March, TIME sold three of its own covers as non-fungible tokens for 241 ETH ($625,000 at the time of writing).
