
Coinbase opens Ethereum staking to institutional clients
American Coinbase Prime clients have gained the ability to stake Ethereum, according to the company’s the company’s blog.
“Clients can create a wallet, decide on an amount, and begin staking on the ETH assets page of their Coinbase Prime account,” the representatives said.

The funds will be stored in cold storage on the institutional platform.
Coinbase Prime also offers staking for Solana, Polkadot, Cosmos, Tezos, Celo and other crypto assets.
Earlier in July, Ethereum developers approved the migration of the blockchain to Proof-of-Stake for September 19, 2022.
The test network Goerli will transition to the new consensus algorithm when the network’s cumulative difficulty reaches 10,790,000. According to the developers, this is expected to occur between August 6 and 12.
