The cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has received approval from the Italian regulator OAM to provide residents of the country with services related to digital assets.
As the exchange said in its blog, the new OAM requirements obligate all companies providing trading or custody services for cryptocurrencies to meet regulatory criteria for operating with Italian clients.
Coinbase added that the exchange is strengthening its position in the European market, as it pursues or files applications for licences from EU regulators.
Earlier, the exchange announced further expansion into European markets.
Earlier in May, the OAM licence was received by Binance.
