CoinFund to launch investment instrument for NFTs

The CoinFund venture fund will launch a new investment instrument for non-fungible tokens (NFTs). This was disclosed by Vanessa Grellet, head of the firm’s portfolio-growth department, in an episode of the podcast The Scoop.

The new instrument, named Metaversal, will function as a development studio for NFT companies and will enable investors to bet on the overall market.

Although NFT sales fell by about twentyfold in June, Grellet noted that demand in the segment remains high.

“Even as consumer demand slows, I think we will see many tools related to lending and financing NFTs that will make the NFT space bigger than competitors such as DeFi and others,” said a senior CoinFund executive.

The venture fund инвестировал в семь NFT-проектов: маркетплейсы Rarible, NFTfi, Tibles, the developer of the Cryptoys ecosystem, the NIFTEX trading platform and others.

Earlier in June, Fox announced the launch of a fund to invest in NFTs worth $100 million.
