ConsenSys announced a new educational initiative — MetaMask Learn. The free platform is designed for users who want to get acquainted with Web3.

The resource is available in 10 languages, including Ukrainian, Russian and English. The platform offers an interactive user interface — in simulation mode you can learn to use MetaMask, learn about NFTs and decentralised finance.

The company noted that recent problems in the crypto industry have undermined investor trust in custodial platforms. According to a Morning Consult survey conducted for ConsenSys, three-quarters of the 1,505 respondents did not know or were not confident about what self-custody is.

“MetaMask believes that supporting Web3 enthusiasts in learning self-custody in a simulated environment will boost trust and give consumers the confidence they need to participate in the ecosystem in a safe and self-sovereign manner,” the press release said.

According to the company, providing basic educational materials is important both for the adoption of Web3 and for MetaMask’s mission to democratise access to decentralised technologies.

Earlier, the hardware-wallet maker Ledger entered into a partnership with The Sandbox, a gaming metaverse project, to boost the literacy of its users in the cryptocurrency space.
