A streamer on the Pump.fun platform threatened to commit suicide if his token did not reach the desired market capitalization. This was reported by the security manager of the Pudgy Penguins project, known as Beau.
Hey @pumpdotfun there is currently someone using your livestreams to threaten to hang themselves if the coin does not reach a set marketcap.
Absolutely heinous and It needs to come down + see if you can get them help.
Shut down the livestream feature. This is out of control.

“[This is] absolutely heinous and it needs to come down. It is necessary to find out if help can be provided to this person. Shut down the livestream feature. This is out of control,” he stated.
Soon after, Beau followed up with another tweet about a different stream, where there was a promise to carry out a school shooting live.

The problematic content on Pump.fun is not limited to these examples. In attempts to influence prices, streamers on the platform have already locked themselves in dog cages, fired guns out of windows, and threatened to kill family members.
The community condemned the platform’s approach to moderation and called for the complete shutdown of the streaming feature to prevent such behavior in the future and to avoid putting the entire project at risk of regulatory pressure.
“[The situation] started with blatant racism and will end in deaths, and Pump.fun will be held accountable,” commented one user on X.
Responding to similar criticism directed at the platform a few days earlier, the head of Pump.fun, under the pseudonym alon, stated that the team is actively removing such content.
“Let me clarify: we are actively moderating illegal content on the site, including images, videos, livestreams, and comments. […] We have a large team of moderators working around the clock and an internal team of engineers helping us cope with the increased number of coins, streams, and comments,” noted the head of Pump.fun.
He acknowledged that their work is not perfect and urged users to inform the team about problematic coins.
At the time of writing, the project had not announced any additional changes to its moderation policy or streaming functionality.
the Pump.fun team announced that it has disabled the streaming feature on the platform.
“To ensure the absolute safety of our users, we will suspend the livestream feature on the site indefinitely until the moderation infrastructure is ready to handle the increased level of activity,” the statement reads.
In October, the Pump.fun team announced plans to launch its own native token.
